Called Executive Board meeting at Elon

At Elon University attending the September called Executive Board meeting. First thing this morning there was a skit demonstrating parliamentary procedure for chapter meetings. One funny thing that happened - in the skit they were discussing purchasing new screens for Headquarters - only some latecomers didn't realize it was a skit and demonstrated asking a question during the debate!

Carmen Redding and Shelia Groves gave a program on the strategic planning report.

Lunch to come along with meetings with the Regional Directors.

Southeast Regional Conference

Southeast Regional Conference is July 15-18 in Little Rock. Hope everyone has a safe trip and shares everything they learn with those of us who cannot attend

Summer time

I know many of our members are finishing up the school year but don't overlook the Delta Kappa Gamma opportunities. The leadership conference in June, Southeast Regional in July, committee meetings, etc.

Maybe a summer social just members would work for your chapter.

Saturday morning business session

Sitting in the Saturday morning business session, officers giving their reports right now. Flat Annie is standing proudly at the head table. If you don't know about Flat Annie, you should :-) She's attending all the meetings and is dressed appropriate for every one. Members are writing "her story" after the sessions and there will be a book compiled from those reports.

Friday night's opening general session

It's Friday night and we're in the opening session of the Eta State Convention. We've had costumed re-enactors bring greetings; the Principal of the Newcomers School; invitation to the 2010 convention in Asheville (mark your calendars now - April 23-25) and soon Dr. Valerie Vickers will be speaking.
